Miami’s Tyreek Hill fires latest salvo in smack-talk battle with Chiefs’ Chris Jones

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has made some bold predictions about how he’ll perform Sunday in Frankfurt, Germany, against the Chiefs, his former team.

On the latest episode of his podcast, Hill said he’s going to get 12 catches for 250 receiving yards and … deliver one devastating block.

“A lot of people have been asking me, ‘Are you gonna be emotional?’” Hill said. “I said, ‘Man, to me, there ain’t no emotion in sports, bruh.’ I love those guys, I love them to death. I got so much respect for coach (Andy) Reid and I’m looking forward to seeing like a bunch of familiar faces.

“It’s gonna be a fun game. You got two 6-2 teams going for the No. 1 seed in the AFC and it’s gonna be a battle. They got dogs on defense. Obviously, they got dogs on the offensive side of the ball. But my main concern is just pancaking Chris Jones this game. I want to PK Chris Jones. I’m calling my shot.”

Physics would not seem to be on Hill’s side, as he is 5 foot 10 and 191 pounds, while Jones is 6-6 and 310 pounds.

Hill previously shared a message on X (formerly Twitter) about blocking Jones.

Jones talked about Hill while on Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.

“Listen, Tyreek weighs a buck eighty, probably a buck forty, honestly,” Jones said with a smile. “Tyreek is too small. He better stick to catching the ball. I don’t think you want to get in the trenches.”

Jones added: “Tyreek is not even five foot. You think I’m going to let this little (guy) talk (trash) to me? Tyreek’s got the little man syndrome a little man, they be talking.”

Hill’s latest plan is in line with what we’ve seen on social media this year. Hill and Jones have engaged in some fun banter/smack talk. Here are some of those highlights.

Hill and Jones went back and forth after Hill said in April he planned to have a big game against the Chiefs this season, including throwing up a peace sign at KC defenders.

When the NFL schedule was released in May, the Chiefs-Dolphins game was moved to Germany, and Jones said the league saved Hill and Miami.

Hill had said on video the Chiefs were the “Queefs” and Jones responded.

Hill reposted a video that he jokingly said reminded him of Jones.

Despite the banter, it’s clear the two really like each other as this exchange shows.
