Update:
This story has been updated with Kyrie Irving and Maxi Kleber’s status for Friday’s game against the Nuggets.
Just in time for a matchup against the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets, there is some optimism surrounding Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving’s status.
Irving, who missed the last two games with a left foot sprain, is listed as available for Friday’s game against the Nuggets.
The Mavericks, however, will be without head coach Jason Kidd, who didn’t travel with the team to Denver and is dealing with a non-COVID illness. Forward Maxi Kleber will also be out with a right small toe dislocation.
Irving went through the Mavs’ shootaround on Friday. He went through a shootaround before the Mavs’ Monday game against Memphis, but was later downgraded from questionable to out.
