The Texas Rangers are World Series champions for the first time, and the Dallas Mavericks made sure fans didn’t miss out Wednesday night during their 114-105 win over the Chicago Bulls.
In solidarity with the Rangers, the Mavericks showed World Series Game 5 on the videoboard at American Airlines Center, allowing their fans to experience the euphoria of the Rangers’ 5-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Dallas began the double feature at AAC during the fifth inning, when Corey Seager scored Texas’ first run of the night. The game appeared more frequently on the videoboard as the Rangers began to break open their Game 5 lead.
The Mavericks kept the game on the board during a four-run eighth inning that included a Marcus Semien home run and let it continue to play as Mavericks closed out their 114-105 win over Chicago and the Rangers clinched their World Series title.
Yeah, the Mavericks are playing at the same time as the Rangers. Ditto the Stars against the Flames. But everyone was thinking about the Rangers.
The Mavericks, both current and legend, have shown out in their support of the Rangers. Luka Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki have attended multiple playoff games together, though the Rangers didn’t win those home games at Globe Life Field.
Doncic made a joke that he and Nowitzki wouldn’t show up to Game 5. Guess he believed in jinxes.
