Primeau is making his first start of the 2022-23 campaign, and it comes on the second half of a back-to-back — Jake Allen saved 36 of 37 shots in Montreal’s 3-1 win over Buffalo on Monday. Primeau has a 3-12-2 record, 4.11 GAA and .871 save percentage in 21 career contests. The Devils have averaged 3.75 goals per game this year.
