Miracle Monday: Ringing the bell and having spooky fun
Victory Monday #VictoryMonday
It’s Miracle Monday, and WINK News is featuring two tiny girls with two huge accomplishments.
Five-year-old Eli Rocha Roman and 4-year-old Libbi Leduff rang the victory bell, as both had beaten childhood Leukemia.
After two years of fighting, Roman was surprised with a party in her honor, which was capped with the ceremonial ringing of the bell.
Leduff had been in remission for around a year-and-a-half, after beating her rare Wilms tumor diagnosis twice.
This Saturday, people can participate in an enjoyable night of spooky fun and great food while helping young cancer fighters with the Witches and Warlocks Halloween Bash event held at the Fort Myers Brewing Company. The event is set to run from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will have a food truck competition, costume contests, specialty beers on tap and other Halloween activities.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Barbara’s Friends, a charity scholarship founded by Golisano Children’s Hospital.
