LA Knight: It’s Tough To Enjoy The Run I’m On, But Dammit, I’m Trying

LA Knight tries his hardest to stop and smell the roses.

John Cena and LA Knight were victorious at WWE Fastlane on Saturday night. Following the event, the pair took part in a post-show press conference. Rick Ucchino of Cageside Seats asked if Knight could take a moment and enjoy the run he’s on without focusing on where it will lead.

“Nope. [laughs] I try my damndest, but I’m so used to chasing and pushing up against something that it’s very tough for me to allow myself to enjoy it. I’m — dammit, I’m trying,” Knight said. “But I can’t help myself but to always be looking over my shoulder and I mean that in the realest way.

“It’s been such a climb. It’s been such a challenge to get right here and do what I did tonight, and do what I’ve done over the last year or so it’s been. So yeah, I’m always on the defense,” Knight explained, “for somebody to try and pull the rug out and I can stomp them out at some point. Because for me, it’s — some day…

Cena: You know what they say, defense wins championships. I’m out!

[Knight gives a thumbs up and points to Cena]
