Trapped in Gaza, Yousaf’s mother-in-law pleads for international aid

Humza Yousaf’s mother-in-law has pleaded with the international community to help Palestinians in an emotional video from inside Gaza.

Elizabeth El-Nakla and her husband, Maged, travelled from their home in Dundee to visit an elderly relative last week before the violence broke out. The couple are now trapped inside Gaza along with Maged’s sick 93-year-old mother, their son, his wife and their four grandchildren — including a two-month-old baby.

At least 1,055 Palestinians have been killed and thousands wounded in Israeli bombings on Gaza since Saturday, in response to a surprise attack by Hamas in which at least 1,200 Israelis were killed.
