Israel’s Military Hunting Down Last Infiltrators From Gaza

Israeli soldiers are hunting down the last infiltrators from Gaza in southern Israel, military spokesman Jonathan Conricus said. It will take “a few more hours or maybe more than that,” he said in a livestream on the social-media network X, formerly Twitter.

Israel’s aim later will be to make sure that Hamas neither has military capability to threaten Israeli citizens nor be able to govern the Gaza strip, said Conricus. “We have amassed around 100,000 reserve troops, who are currently in southern Israel, preparing to execute the task” that the Israeli government has designated the Israel Defense Forces to do, he said.
