Israeli Tracks Missing Wife’s Phone to Gaza

Yoni Asher, a 37-year-old Israeli who lives in the center of the country, said his wife and two daughters, ages 5 and 3, were missing. His wife, 34, had traveled to a community near the Gaza border to visit her mother and partner for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

At about 11 a.m., his wife called from a safe room saying Hamas militants were inside the house they were in. He has since lost contact with her and tracked her phone to Khan Yunis in Gaza. He said the military hasn’t yet been in contact with him. “I need help in trying to locate her,” he said of his wife.
