A panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit appeared skeptical Wednesday of arguments that federal officials’ complaints about then-President Donald Trump’s fiery posts on Twitter unlawfully coerced the micro-blogging company to ban his account.
During oral arguments in Trump v. Twitter, Senior Judge Jay Bybee noted that Trump and other conservative Twitter users had cited as evidence in their complaint critical comments about Trump from six federal lawmakers, Vice President Kamala Harris, former First Lady Michelle Obama and President Joe Biden’s adviser Bruce Reed.
