It ended a barren spell in front of goal for the £88million man as he netted his first for the Blues on his 24th appearance for the club.
And the relief was clear for all the see, especially from midfield pairing Fernandez and Caicedo, who celebrated together.
After Mudryk slotted through Bernd Leno’s legs, the two players hugged each other while roaring in wild jubilation.
Chelsea fans loved the footage, which has been spotted on social media, with one fan saying: “That’s actually what it mean to all of us.”
Another wrote: “The feeling when you haven’t scored a goal in a long while.”
A third wrote: “That’s sweet.”
While this fan said: “They love him so much.”
Armando Broja went on to score a second just seconds later in bizarre fashion when Tim Ream kicked the ball against him after being dispossessed by Cole Palmer.

Mudryk has finally scored for Chelsea on his 24th appearance
It gave Chelsea a two-goal lead after 19 minutes, having gone the entire of September with scoring a Premier League goal.
Broja made his first start for the Blues in ten months after suffering a serious knee injury in December.
Mauricio Pochettino is in desperate need of a victory after a shoddy start to life as Chelsea manager.
But a victory at Craven Cottage has put the west London side 11th in the table as they look to regain some confidence.
