In an effort to swiftly cultivate a formidable attacking alliance, Marcus Rashford has disclosed that he is intensively collaborating with Manchester United’s summer acquisition, Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund, who arrived at Manchester United during the summer transfer window in a high-profile £72 million move from Atalanta, has been earmarked by the club as the player who will help alleviate the goal-scoring responsibilities on Rashford’s shoulders.

During the previous season, the English star registered an impressive tally of 30 goals across all competitions for Manchester United, with Bruno Fernandes being the only other player to breach the double-figure mark, netting 14 times.
Hojlund marked his presence at Manchester United by notching his inaugural goal for the club during a pulsating 4-3 Champions League group stage match against Bayern Munich earlier this month. However, his initial integration was plagued by injuries.
In a significant development, Hojlund recently completed his first full 90 minutes for the Red Devils during their 1-0 Premier League triumph over Burnley. The match showcased his ability to contribute to the team, signaling his gradual adaptation to the club’s style of play.
What has truly ignited excitement within Rashford is the burgeoning partnership with Hojlund, who typically operates as a Danish forward. Rashford, known for his proficiency when deployed on the left flank, has disclosed that he and Hojlund are diligently working off the pitch to refine their comprehension of each other’s playing styles.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the partnership, Rashford conveyed, “I am honestly super excited about it. At times last year, we were going on counter-attacks and we would just see shirts of other bodies, and usually, the only the cut-back that was on was to Bruno (Fernandes) who was arriving later.”
“Whereas this year, you have to understand the dynamics have changed, so we have spoken to each other and done a little bit of work off the pitch, probably that the coaching staff don’t even know, between (just) me and him.”
“I just want to understand his game and for him to understand my game as quickly as possible. It’s just the speed we can attack at now is completely different. It’s just having that confidence that when you do make a run in behind, someone else on the opposite side is making that run and hopefully it will get to the stage where you won’t even have to look for him, you can just put it in there and we know that he is in and around there.”
