Laurence Fox is under investigation from GB News after launching into a ‘totally inappropriate’ rant about journalist Ava Evans.
The 45-year-old made a series of derogatory comments about political correspondent Evans during an episode of Dan Wootton Tonight, which left her feeling ‘physically sick’.
In the interview aired on Tuesday night, Fox said: ‘Show me a single self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that woman ever, ever, who wasn’t an incel.
‘We need powerful, strong amazing women who make great points for themselves. We don’t need this sort of feminist 4.0. They’re pathetic and embarrassing. Who’d want to shag that?’
Evans, who works for online news website Joe, saw the segment, shared it on X and wrote: ‘Laurence Fox just did a whole speech on GB News on why men apparently won’t shag me?’
‘I feel physically sick,’ she added.

GB News has since released a statement condemning Fox’s comments, and announcing an investigation.
They wrote: ‘Comments made tonight on GB News by Laurence Fox were totally unacceptable.
‘What he said does not reflect our values and we apologise unreservedly for the comments and the offence they have caused.
‘We have launched an investigation and will be apologising to the individual involved,’ it concluded.
Wootton has also publicly apologised to Evans on social media.

‘Dear @AvaSantina I think you’re brilliant,’ he began.
‘Earlier tonight I was attempting to find your tweets to read back from my iPad and couldn’t locate them.
I apologise for what was said during the course of my show and should have done this immediately on air. This is not what our channel is about.’

Fox and Wootton’s discussion was in response to Evans’ comments on BBC Politics Live on Monday while discussing men’s mental health.
‘I was a little rash on my anti-minister for men comments which I do regret and am actually very interested in a brief for a minister on young men’s mental health,’she said.
After Fox’s comments, Wootton said: ‘I’m just going to provide a touch of balance from her because she did actually respond to this earlier today, saying that she regretted her comments, but she didn’t apologise.
‘Uh, yes. So there you go. And she’s a very beautiful woman Laurence, very beautiful.’
GB News host Fox recently posted a video questioning the allegations against Russell Brand.
