Bukayo Saka steals James Maddison’s celebration after Arsenal’s opener in the North London derby… But the Tottenham man gets the last laugh as he spins past the winger to set …

Saka #Saka

Bukayo Saka was quickly made to regret a playful dig aimed at his England teammate James Maddison during Sunday’s 2-2 draw in the North London derby.

After the Arsenal winger’s cross was turned into the goal by Cristian Romero, he ran to a nearby camera and performed Maddison’s famous dart throwing celebration.

It seemed an amusing touch from a Gunners side who were well on top, but Maddison had his revenge just 15 minutes later.

The former Leicester man came forward down the left just before half time and found himself one-on-one with Saka.

He dropped the shoulder and darted away from the winger, leaving Saka lunging helplessly in the complete wrong direction, before whipping a pinpoint cross into the box which Son Heung-min converted.

Saka went on to score another from the penalty spot in the second half after a controversially awarded hand ball in the area,  but again Son hit back with an equaliser just a minute later and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Reflecting on a hard-earned point after full time, Maddison said to Sky Sports: ‘When you come to a quality team like Arsenal heads can drop, the momentum can shift when you concede a goal, but we kept playing.

‘Even in the early stages we gave the ball away in difficult areas of the pitch, but bravery is playing the way we play even if mistakes happen. We did that and for large parts of the game we dominated and scored two good goals.’

The result leaves Tottenham above Arsenal on goal different alone, with both sides four points adrift of league leaders Man City after their perfect start to the season.

Mikel Arteta’s side will next be in Premier League action when they travel to Bournemouth next Saturday, while Tottenham face another tough test against Liverpool on the same day.

The Gunners are also in League Cup action against Brentford on Wednesday night.
