What to Watch on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving #Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time for bingeing. And since we’re told that the healthiest way we can celebrate the holiday this year is to sit alone on the couch with a bottle of bourbon, it’s the perfect time to catch up on some shows and movies—for the first time and otherwise.

Here’s a look at some material, new and old, to stream over the long weekend:

New Release: ‘The Undoing’

(HBO, HBO Max)

A dead body. A pack of chatty moms at an upper-crust school. Race, class and age relations. “Ally McBeal” creator David E. Kelley. Nicole Kidman. HBO. If this all sounds familiar, it’s because these are some of the main ingredients in the much-celebrated series, “Big Little Lies.” Mr. Kelley has brought them all back together for his latest HBO series, “The Undoing,” which wraps up its first season on Sunday.

There are differences though. This time, the young mother of a child at everyone’s school turns up dead at the precise moment that one of the women’s husband’s has decided to disappear. Ms. Kidman stars as Grace Fraser, a therapist, mother, wife and a seemingly new acquaintance of the deceased. Hugh Grant is in the mix as Jonathan Fraser, Grace’s husband, a philanderer and possibly a murderer.
