Victory Monday #VictoryMonday

Florida football is coming off a signature victory over the Tennessee Volunteers in both teams’ Southeastern Conference schedule opener, riding a first-half wave to a 29-16 win inside Benn Hill Griffin Stadium.

This weekend, Billy Napier’s team gets a chance to continue calibrating before returning to conference play against the visiting Charlotte 49ers, who arrive in Gainesville with a paltry 1-2 record having lost their last two. Saturday’s showdown represents the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the collegiate gridiron.

Prediction

On paper, Florida is clearly the better team, but more importantly, the Gators have begun to coalesce on the field as witnessed against Tennessee. Expect the Orange and Blue to find the endzone plenty of times while the defense suffocates the overmatched Niners’ offense, with Billy Napier and Co. cruising to 3-1 on the season.

Florida 51, Charlotte 16
