Man Utd star Marcus Rashford left stunned after seeing EA FC 24 rating

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford was left stunned upon seeing one particular attribute on his EA FC 24 card.

Rashford has had a turbulent couple of years at Old Trafford, with the 25-year-old struggling for form in the 2021/22 campaign when he scored just four goals in the Premier League.

However, Erik ten Hag’s arrival has brought the best out in the Englishman, who scored 30 goals in all competitions last season.

And his upturn in form has had a significant impact on his rating for EA Sports’ newly rebranded version of FIFA 23.

While taking part in some media duties for the Premier League, Rashford was given a sneak peak at his new card for the game.

On the whole, he was fairly content with his new card, which has gone from an overall rating of 83 on FIFA 23 to an 85 on this year’s edition.

Although the Red Devils academy graduate was less pleased with how he scored at defending, admitting he was “shocked”.

Before the big reveal, Rashford was asked how his defensive ability was scored in FIFA 23 and he rather optimistically guessed 68, with the forward visibly shocked when told it was just 41.

“41?! Am I that bad?!” he said before firing shots at EA Sports’ decision. “42, I am shocked with this one, I can’t lie.” To Rashford’s credit, he was bang on the money as his defending in EAFC 24 turned out to be exactly 42.

The striker was also stunned by his lack of pace in FIFA 23, exclaiming: “87? I can’t lie, I thought I should be 89/90.

“But if it was 87 last year… I am the same speed now… [I should be] 89. 87 is rude.”

Upon discovering his pace was in fact 90, Rashford had a beaming smile and admitted: “That is a good start. I think I am probably the fastest [at Man United].”

When asked what he thought his he was rated at shooting last year, the United star remarked: “Shooting must have been 84?” But when it was revealed that it was 82, he jokingly replied: “I am going to have a word with them.”

Asked about this year’s edition, Rashford said: “It has got to be 85 or 87.” It was then revealed he had been given a rating of 86, to which he said: “Almost, we are doing well so far.”
