Shana Tova U‘Metuka from WJC President Ronald S. Lauder

Shana Tova #ShanaTova

Dear Friends,

Rosh Hashanah has served as a period for reflection and renewal for the Jewish people for 5784 years. Together, and individually, we contemplate the year past and seek to understand what we might improve upon in the year to come.

For many of the young members in our communities, this time of year also marks the start of the academic calendar — unfortunately challenging times lay ahead for far too many of them as they enter their classrooms and settle in on their campuses. But we will do everything in our power to protect these Jewish students who stand on the frontline in the fight against antisemitism.

Please read my call to action for university leaders, here, and join us in this effort.

Together, as we embark on this new year, we will strengthen our bonds, enhance our coordination, and develop the tools to take on any obstacle that may lay in our way.

May this sacred time of year serve as a source of inspiration for all.

Wishing you, and your loved ones, a Shanah Tovah uMetuka – a happy, healthy and sweet new year.

Sincerely yours,

Ronald S. Lauder
