Patrick Mahomes had the most relatable reaction after he threw a pick-6 to Lions safety Brian Branch
Mahomes #Mahomes
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes rarely leaves a touchdown drive with a flustered reaction, but it happened on Thursday night during his team’s home opener against the Detroit Lions.
On a pass to Kadarius Toney in the game’s third quarter, the ball from Mahomes bounced out of Toney’s hands into the grasp of rookie Lions safety Brian Branch, who ran it back for a touchdown.
It was Mahomes’ first pick-six in a season-opening game, and it helped the Lions tie up the contest at 14 all.
If you watch closely on the broadcast replay, you can see Mahomes let out a very relatable blow of the lips in frustration at around the 20-second mark.
You know the move, it’s where you kind of make a boat engine noise when you’re downtrodden by something not going right.
Hey, we’ve all been there, right?
It’s not like Mahomes to have such a moment, one that was arguably not his fault since his throw to Toney was right on the money.
However, this is the league’s best player we’re talking about, so NFL fans will definitely have something to say about such a sequence going down.
