Mason Greenwood has completed a deadline day move to Spanish side Getafe.
Greenwood will return to football in LaLiga having not played since his arrest in January 2022 for alleged assault occasioning to actual bodily harm, controlling and coercive behaviour and attempted rape.
The former Manchester United striker saw those charges dropped in February of this year after key witnesses withdrew their involvement in the case.
United came under severe pressure over the summer to drop Greenwood with fan groups protesting his potential return to the playing squad.
The Old Trafford outfit eventually announced the former England international would leave last week and he has been looking for a club ever since.
Lazio were rumoured to have been interested in his services but now it has been revealed that Greenwood will join Spanish side Getafe on an initial loan move.
