Campfires and litter louts damage Glen Coe’s Lost Valley

Glen Coe’s Lost Valley has been damaged by campfires and litter during one of its busiest years for tourists.
The National Trust for Scotland said that while most visitors to the glen acted responsibly, there were a number who caused damage.
The Lost Valley, or Coire Gabhail, is known as a site of special scientific interest because of the wide variety of plant life in the area.
The trust said that volunteers and staff have collected more than 200 bags of litter from the area this summer.
Campfires on the protected habitat have also damaged its peat and harmed the woodland.
