PICTURE JUST CRYSTAL CLEAR. I WANT YOU TO LOOK AT WHAT’S OUT HERE IN THE MID MIDWEST. THERE’S NOT MUCH GOING ON. THERE’S A FEW SHOWERS, BUT IT IS INCREDIBLY MUGGY AND IT’S BEEN INCREDIBLY HOT OUT THERE. AND SOME OF THAT HEAT AND HUMIDITY IS GOING TO HEAD THIS WAY. SO WE SIT HERE WITH COMFORTABLE DEW POINTS IN THE 50S AND OUT TO THE WEST. LOOK AT THESE DEW POINTS RIGHT NOW. MINNEAPOLIS DEW POINT OF 79, SIOUX CITY, 80. I GREW UP ON A FARM IN NORTHWEST IOWA. WHEN YOU GET A DEW POINT OF 80 DEGREES, IT IS UNBELIEVABLY UNCOMFORTABLE. I ADDED TO THAT YOU SHOULD SEE THE HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY. MINNEAPOLIS HIT 98 DEGREES WITH A DEW POINT NEAR 80 DEGREES AT ONE POINT THIS AFTERNOON, IT FELT LIKE IT WAS 112 DEGREES IN THE TWIN CITIES. THAT IS REALLY MUGGY, MUGGY STUFF. SO THAT HUMIDITY IS GOING TO PUSH OUR WAY. NOT TO THAT LEVEL, BUT WE’RE GOING TO SEE HUMIDITY BUMPING UP AS WE HEAD TOWARDS FRIDAY. THAT, OF COURSE, WILL MEAN WE HAVE A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS, BUT NOT TONIGHT. IT’S CLEAR IT’S COMFORTABLE. 48 TO 56 FOR YOUR OVERNIGHT LOW TOMORROW, A PICK OF THE WEEK, ALTHOUGH TODAY WAS A GOOD CHALLENGER FOR IT. COOL START. LOTS OF SUNSHINE, 72 TO 78 DEGREES FOR YOUR HIGH TEMPERATURE. SO THE LESS HUMID AIR GIVES WAY HERE COMES THE HUMIDITY ALONG WITH IT COMES A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. NOW REMEMBER, THESE THUNDERSTORMS FEED OFF THAT HUMIDITY. SO THAT’S WHY OUR BEST CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS IS GOING TO BE ON FRIDAY. THERE MIGHT BE A LITTLE SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS FRIDAY OR THURSDAY NIGHT, BUT IT’S VERY LATE THURSDAY NIGHT, EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. AND THEN ON FRIDAY, PRETTY LIKELY WE’LL SEE SOME SHOWERS AND SOME THUNDERSTORMS, ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON SATURDAY KIND OF BACKS OFF A LITTLE BIT, BUT MAYBE SATURDAY AFTERNOON, WE’LL GET ANOTHER ROUND OF SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. AND YOU KNOW WHAT? WE’LL DO IT ON SUNDAY. BUT SUNDAYS THREAT EVEN LESS THAN ON SATURDAY. SO HERE’S THE WAY IT BREAKS DOWN THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. TOMORROW GETS THAT CHECK MARK BECAUSE IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL OUT THERE. SUNNY 76 DEGREES PICK OF THE WEEK THURSDAY. SOME SHOWERS COME IN AT NIGHT. SO YOU’LL SEE SUNSHINE IN THE MORNING, CLOUDS IN THE AFTERNOON SHOWERS BY THIS TIME THURSDAY NIGHT, PROBABLY LATER THAN THIS TIME THURSDAY NIGHT. AND THEN FRIDAY, PRETTY LIKELY, WE’RE GOING TO SEE SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. WE COULD GET ANOTHER INCH OR TWO OF RAIN OUT OF THAT. ONE UNFORTUNATE EARLY SATURDAY. IT’S STILL SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE AND SUNDAY, EVEN LESS OF A THREAT. AND IF YOU LOOK WAY DOWN THE ROAD TOWARDS NEXT TUESDAY, THAT, OF COURSE, IS WHEN WE WOULD HAVE THAT TROPICAL SYST
