Prince Charles will be celebrating his 75th birthday in a “low-key” fashion.
Speculation abounds as to whether Harry and Meghan will receive invites to the celebration.
The couple had previously been snubbed when it came to Trooping the Colour earlier this year.
What is set to be the hottest, most exclusive ticket in town for the ceremonial county of Gloucestershire in South West England? No, it’s not the ReVa nightclub in the market town of Cirencester—where this author once had a panic attack in a rainy outdoor “smoking area” made of wood and chicken wire like that box that makes Rambo snap in the movie First Blood.
Instead, it’s the upcoming 75th birthday party of the newly crowned King Charles. As previously reported, King Charles has opted for a more low-key birthday celebration this year, feeling the country has already endured many lavish royal to-do’s. It’s speculated that he’s likely to spend the special day at Highgrove, the country home he owns in Gloucestershire.

But who will get an invite to this intimate affair? You can expect Queen Camilla, for sure, and likely Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their kids. But will Harry and Meghan get an invite? And would they accept one if given? No one is quite sure.
Speculation that they won’t be stems from when the controversial couple wasn’t invited to the Trooping the Colour earlier this year. But it’s been suggested that Charles would want his family around, especially his California-based grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.
The Sun spoke to Angela Levin, a Royal biographer, who “believes the monarch will want the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to attend any festivities planned to mark Charles’ 75th birthday on Nov. 14.” However, Levin cautions that though an invite will be extended, it’s not quite an olive branch: “If Harry wants to go to get an apology, then he can get lost.”
In the end, there’s only one way we can be sure whether or not Harry and Meghan ultimately attend the festivities: we’ll have to get a man on the inside.
Now, this is where this humble author would offer himself up to get into the field, but I’ll be honest: I don’t think I could withstand another Gloucestershire-based panic attack, and Highgrove has yet to answer my inquiry about whether they, too, have a smoking area made of wood and chicken wire.
