A compilation of Alejandro Garnacho’s performance against Lens has gone viral, with fans calling for him to be Manchester United’s first-choice left-winger this season.

United overcame Lens, who finished second in Ligue 1 last season, 3-1 at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag continued his pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign.

Marcus Rashford levelled the scores shortly after the break before goals from Antony and Casemiro took the game beyond Lens.

However, it was Garnacho who really caught the eye, dazzling down the left-hand side. A compilation of his performance has since gone viral on social media, which you can watch below.

Meanwhile, United fans reckon he should retain his place in the starting XI, despite being just 19-years-old.

Replying to the video on Twitter, one user wrote: “Against every other team bar City, Garnacho should start this season unless he’s not on form.”

As a result, Garnacho may be handed a starting role for the opening games of the season, with United’s first challenge against Wolves on August 14.
