Massillon’s Got Talent — just ask Zion Clark.

The professional MMA fighter and former Massillon Washington High School wrestler and track star will be among those performing on “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday on NBC.

Another Ohioan also will be featured on the show — Summer Rios from Brunswick.

While reports about Clark’s efforts on the show haven’t been released, a publicity photo shows him on the stage in the air above a weight bench and barbell.

Clark was born without legs due to a condition known as caudal regression syndrome. He lived much of his early life in the foster care system before being adopted as a high school senior by Kimberly Hawkins.

“America’s Got Talent,” which is seen at 8 p.m., showcases people with unusual talents competing for a $1 million prize. The reality game show stars Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Terry Crews.

From Massillon Tiger to author: Zion Clark’s first book to hit shelves

Clark won his first MMA match in December 2022, defeating Eugene Murray by unanimous decision at the Gladiator Challenge: Seasons Beatings. The victory made Clark the first legless person to beat an able-bodied opponent, The Canton Repository reported in December.

“Honestly, I just like to compete against people,” he told the Massillon Independent in 2016. “I like to be the person that bests somebody else. … I know when I have a shot at doing that, it makes me want to try it.”

Clark has used his newfound fame to become a motivational speaker. On his website, zionclark.com, he offers tips and phrases he hopes will help boost others. On the site’s homepage, under his large name in bold, are the words “No Excuses.”

Farther down, the words “You don’t need legs to leave a footprint on earth” appear on a red banner.

Zion Clark excels at everything: Don’t feel sorry for Zion Clark

The documentary “Zion” screened to critical acclaim at Sundance Film Festival, is available to stream on Netflix.

Rios, a 19-year-old who show officials say is a manager at a Pizza Hut by day, is an aspiring singer.
