Upon arriving at school, Denji, feeling dejected, encountered a fellow student taking notice of his Chainsaw Man t-shirt and offered the theory regarding Asa’s involvement in Chainsaw Man’s recent heroic actions. Overhearing this, another student intervened, threatening both Denji and the other student for disrespecting Chainsaw Man. Denji tried to respond, but the two students started fighting over Chainsaw Man. Consequently, Denji was reprimanded by the principal, who wrongly assumed he initiated the fight due to his troubled past as an orphan.

After the brawl, Denji met with Yoshida, who tried to cheer him up by skipping class and going to the movie theatre. During the movie, they discussed a recent devil attack, which had been swiftly handled by Devil Hunters, leaving no casualties. Yoshida made Denji feel unimportant and as if the world would move on without him. Suddenly, a third person interrupted their conversation, which turned out to be a girl called by Yoshida.

Yoshida had set Denji up on a date with a fellow student, hoping to make him feel normal. As they talked, Denji opened up about his struggles, wanting to be left alone. However, he became preoccupied when his date started touching him inappropriately, shocking Denji with her sudden acts of intimacy.
