The Cleveland Browns unveiled their new alternate uniforms on Tuesday, July 18 and the reactions from NFL fans have been all over the map.
While some Browns fans were pumped by the reveal, believing that they now have the best uniforms in the National Football League, others were quick to roast them for basically looking like the Cincinnati Bengals’ white jerseys.
Feels weird to say this, but I like it.
Because if you’d have mentioned to me the notion of messing with that orange helmet, you’d have likely caught these hands https://t.co/pBczpXDHoh

Even the Cincinnati Bengals themselves chimed in.
2023 will not only feature the debut of the Browns’ new alternate uniforms but it will also be their first full season with controversial quarterback Deshaun Watson in the starting role.
Acquired in a trade with the Houston Texans in 2022, Watson missed 11 games as a result of a league-mandated suspension that stemmed from the 20-plus sexual assault/misconduct allegations made against him.
Despite the controversy surrounding Watson, the Browns not only traded for him but signed him to a fully guaranteed five-year, $260 million contract, which wound up distorting the quarterback market and affecting the negotiations between the Baltimore Ravens and the far-more-accomplished Lamar Jackson.
Given that the Browns find themselves in the same division as the Bengals and Ravens (and the Steelers, who are also expected to improve this year), the team faces an uphill battle to make the AFC playoffs, are bookies currently predict they’ll finish third in their division.
The Browns are certainly doing everything they can to give Watson the weapons he needs to succeed, though, as they traded for Amari Cooper in 2022 and acquired Elijah Moore in a trade with the New York Jets earlier this year. The Browns also have Nick Chubb, who is considered to be one of the best running backs in the league, in their backfield.
Watson and the Cleveland Browns will open their 2023 season with a massive game against their AFC North divisional rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, who are one of the favorites to win this year’s Super Bowl.
