Canelo Alvarez has another hater: Why is Panterita Nery upset with the world champion’s attitude?

Canelo #Canelo

Despite the triumphs he has had throughout his career, Saul Canelo Alvarez continues to be the target of constant criticism for his performance, as well as for the opponents he chooses.

And now it was the turn of Mexican boxer Luis Panterita Nery, who pointed out that the fight between the Mexican and world cruiserweight champion Badou Jack would have been unfair to the Swede due to the conditions presented by Canelo’s team.

Luis Nery’s criticism of Canelo Alvarez

Mundo Deportivo reports that the former bantamweight champion expressed his disagreement in a press conference about the conditions for the bout to take place in Saudi Arabia, among which was a rehydration clause to compensate for the fact that he had to gain almost 10 kilos to carry out the fight.

“The challenge of you moving up to a heavier weight is that you’re going to fight a fighter who is going to move up heavier. If you’re going to move up why are you going to move him down and you’re going to put a rehydration clause on him, then it’s not an even fight. That’s what I don’t like, it’s the challenge if you’re going up to a heavier weight, what’s the challenge? That he’s going to go heavier than you, that’s what you’re facing,” explained Panterita.

The former boxer considers that this situation was unfair in favor of Saul Alvarez.

Jermall Charlo, Canelo Alvarez’s next opponent

Despite all the names that have been mentioned, everything points to the fact that Canelo’s next opponent will be Jermell Charlo, interim middleweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), whose last fight was in May of last year, with a win against Brian Castano.

ESPN Knockout reported that sources close to the fighter have confirmed Charlo as the imminent opponent for the Mexican multi-champion.
