LeBron James’ forte might be the game of basketball, but it should be known that the King of Akron is more than just a ballplayer. Joined by friend and entertainment mogul, Maverick Carter, CNN has announced a premiere date for a five-episode docuseries called, “See It Loud: The History of Black Television”.

Produced by the duo’s SpringHill Company, the show is set to air on CNN, beginning with the first episode releasing on July 9th.

The All-time leading scorer has been quite a busy man this summer, as he was seen enjoying some family time in Europe and at the Lakers Training Facility with his two future NBA sons, Bryce and Bronny James, LeBron can do just about anything creative and athletic.

The show is set to exploit the contribution of Black Television on today’s pop culture, tackling shows like “The Jeffersons” and “Roots” and how they impacted today’s “Golden Age” for black creatives everywhere.

James and Carter are deemed as the Executive Producers for ‘See It Loud’ and are very excited to show the world what they have been working on.

“The impact of Black representation on television cannot be overstated. Black television shows have provided a platform for Black artists to showcase their talents and tell their stories. The success of shows like The Jeffersons and Roots paved the way for future generations of Black artists to find their voice and fight for representation.”
