Britain’s Got Talent 2023 has crowned its winner – but not everyone is happy.

Norwegian comedian Viggo Venn stole the hearts of the nation with his chaotic slapstick routines – and his final performance was indeed the very definition of chaotic.

With swearing, popping balloons, confetti, and a packed audience donning hi-vis vests in his honour, he had the whole studio rocking.

And while he’s garnered quite the fanbase over recent weeks, there’s one act in particular BGT viewers were stunned not to see in the top three.

Lillianna Clifton finished in second place after wowing everyone with her dancing.

Meanwhile, Irish magician Cillian O’Connor finished third.

One person who didn’t earn a gold, silver, or bronze medal though, was Musa Motha.

The dancer, who hails from South Africa, has had the panel and viewers at home in tears on several occasions, with the judges even breaking the rules for his first audition to give him an extra golden buzzer.

Musa, 27, lost his leg to cancer when he was younger but that hasn’t stopped him from living out his dream, as he now regularly incorporates his amputation into his epic routines.

He was the bookies’ favourite to win this year but, much to the outrage of the internet, he didn’t take home the £250,000 prize.

Tweeting their reactions after Musa missed out on being in the top three, viewers claimed he was ‘robbed.’

‘Musa motha wasn’t even top 3……………… I’m moving continents’, one person tweeted.

‘I rarely watch BGT, but what a travesty that result was. #Musamotha’, another wrote.

‘BGT what an absolute joke, Musa Motha was hands down the absolute winner’, another tweeted.

Echoing their thoughts, one person added: ‘Musa Motha not in the final three! Whaaaaaaatttttttt???!!!’

There was also plenty of shock around Malakai Bayoh failing to make the top three, despite leaving judge Bruno Tonioli in floods of tears with his angelic final performance.

One person wrote: ‘justice for malakai bayoh what just happened bro’.

‘I’m especially gutted for Musa Motha and Malakai Bayoh.. unbelievable that neither got into the final three and that neither won. But this what happens when you have a public vote, probably the craziest vote ever on BGT’, another penned.

Nevertheless, Viggo is ecstatic about his win, as he’s earned a spot on the bill at this year’s Royal Variety Performance, as well as the mega cash prize.

For his final performance, he had the judges in fits of laughter when he forced Simon Cowell to wear a matching hi-vis jacket as rose petals were thrown over the pair.

And because two jackets weren’t enough, it was then revealed that the entire audience was wearing a hi-vis vest!

The audience was in raptures after the performance, chanting: ‘One more time’, in reference to his first audition on the show where he danced to Daft Punk’s hit.

Alesha Dixon told him: ‘You’ve captivated the nation, they love you,’ while Bruno said: ‘I think your physical comedy is world-class, you have created one of the most memorable characters since Mr Bean.’

Simon joked: ‘At least you didn’t make me look stupid tonight.

‘I have never ever met an act like you in my life, I will admit it, I really really love you now.’

When host Declan Donnelly asked why so many hi-vis jackets, Viggo said: ‘I wear so many hi-vis because it’s really cold in Norway.’

After winning the show, Dec asked how he felt to have ‘captured the heart of the nation’.

‘Not just the heart of Britain, but the heart of Simon,’ Viggo replied.
