Vehicles are a necessity in GTA Online, as players need a means of transportation to traverse the expanse that is Los Santos. While every vehicle has something to offer, some stand above the rest. These vehicles excel in terms of performance, function, or other sought-after features.

Many vehicles in GTA Online have devastating weaponry, formidable defenses, or impressive stats overall. However, most require a downright exorbitant cost to obtain, which is often not worth the hefty price. The most desirable vehicles are well worth the cost and possibly more, as they offer the same benefits as more expensive ones for a fair price. These are the best vehicles in GTA Online.

Updated May 13, 2023 by Rhenn Taguiam: With the latest Turf Wars Adversary Mode of Grand Theft Auto Online offering double rewards from May 4 to May 10, 2023, players of the acclaimed multiplayer game may want to show who’s boss in the speed department by claiming as much territory as possible in the game mode’s rather colorful maps.

However, players who want to truly dominate in Turf Wars might want to do it in style – something they can achieve when driving some of the game’s best vehicles. Among the game’s best cars include a rather realistic take on a sports car, a retro endurance car, a futuristic motorcycle, a stealth tank, and even a stylish tricycle.

Ocelot Pariah

  • Vehicle Class: Sports
  • Standard Price: GTA$1,420,000
  • Trade Price: –
  • Requirements: The Doomsday Heist
  • Locations: Legendary Motorsport
  • Players who want to spice up their Grand Theft Auto Online gameplay with a bit of realism on the side won’t go wrong with the Ocelot Pariah. Bearing a resemblance to the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato and the Ferrari Portofino, the Ocelot Pariah is a sleek representation of “sports” among sports cars. Its simple design makes it ideal for a first sports car, with its unimposing nature perfect for players who want to “blend in.”

However, the Pariah is still leagues apart from its other contemporaries in terms of performance. Among the other Sports cars, the Pariah can perform better than other popular contenders such as the Jugular, Neo, and the Elegy RH8. Interestingly enough, the Pariah’s excellence in smoother tracks and straight routes leaves much to be desired for turning and cornering, which is where the likes of the Imorgon, Neon, and Comet SR shine.

    Annis S80RR

  • Vehicle Class: Super
  • Standard Price: GTA$2,575,000
  • Trade Price: –
  • Requirements: The Diamond Casino & Resort
  • Locations: Legendary Motorsport
  • Car lovers who want their Grand Theft Auto Online experience to feel more like Group C racing may appreciate the retro-esque endurance car design of the Annis S80RR. This time resembling both the Nissan R90C and the Jaguar XJR-9, the Annis S80RR is a low-profile RWD option that puts “super” in the Super Class of vehicles.

Its performance is nothing special compared to its other counterparts, but the Annis S80RR does give players a viable option for both races and vehicular combat. Whereas its speeds are comparable to most other cars of the Class, the S80RR excels in handling and turning, making it quite the attractive choice for intense races.

    Nagasaki Shotaro

  • Vehicle Class: Motorcycles
  • Standard Price: GTA$2,225,000
  • Trade Price: –
  • Requirements: Bikers
  • Locations: Legendary Motorsport
  • Going futuristic is the theme of the Nagasaki Shotaro, a motorcycle based heavily on the Lotus C-01 concept car with a design scheme following Tron: Legacy’s Light Cycles. As a result, the Shotaro boasts a low-profile body kit with identical-sized wheels alongside a round motif for much of its physical features. The vehicle is one of the more futuristic-looking motorcycles in the current roster of Grand Theft Auto games.

However, the Shotaro’s future-leaning aesthetic isn’t purely for visuals. Its performance numbers make it viable to compete with other sporting motorcycles, especially the likes of the Hakuchou Drag, which is often the bike of choice for races. The Shotaro’s high acceleration and top speeds can let it dash through courses easily, with effective handling making it ideal for tight corners and complicated tracks.

    TM-02 Khanjali

  • Vehicle Class: Military
  • Standard Price: GTA$3,850,350
  • Trade Price: GTA$2,895,000
  • Requirements: The Doomsday Heist
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • Players who want to prove their supremacy in Grand Theft Auto gameplay may want to lean away from the usual sports cars and instead go for the offense. Why rely on a car when there’s a tank like the TM-02 Khanjali to outclass most other combat-ready vehicles? Featured in The Doomsday Heist update, the Khanjali bears a striking resemblance to the PL-01 Polish light tank with a stealth motif.

Its polygon-esque design makes it quite the stylish choice for a combat vehicle. However, it’s not exactly race-worthy, either, as its off-road capacity isn’t going to make up for its severe lack of speed. However, combat-wise, an upgraded Khanjali can be just as nimble but much more durable than the popular Rhino Tank. Moreover, its multiple seating capacity also paves the way for more weapon choices, making it a devastating vehicle in most combat scenarios.

    BF Raptor

  • Vehicle Class: Sports
  • Standard Price: GTA$648,000
  • Trade Price: –
  • Requirements: Bikers
  • Locations: Legendary Motorsport
  • RELATED: GTA Online: Best Helicopters & How Much They Cost

Why settle for a motorcycle when Grand Theft Auto Online players can go for a stylish tricycle like the BF Raptor? Fittingly classified as a Sports vehicle, the Raptor resembles the Campagna T-Rex trike with a more compact design that meshes well the elements of a nimble motorcycle with sleek sports cars.

However, while the Raptor boasts great handling and decent speed, the car leaves much to be desired when contending with its top speeds. Moreover, the configuration of its wheels makes it rather unideal for bumpy roads, making the Raptor more of an in-road racer fitting GTA Online newcomers and not the more control-oriented advanced vehicles for experts.

    Ramp Buggy

  • Vehicle Class: Off-Road
  • Standard Price: $3,192,000
  • Trade Price: $2,400,000 (Complete the related SecuroSev Special Vehicle Work Mission)
  • Requirements: CEO Vehicle Warehouse
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Ramp Buggy is a vehicle that many people have been hesitant to buy, but some get a taste of its power from the mission involving it. The Ramp Buggy is fast and deadly despite not having any weapons. No matter what vehicle the Ramp Buggy goes up against, it can toss it aside. This is why it is among the most popular vehicles among GTA Online fans.

Other vehicles with ramming capabilities like the Phantom Wedge and even Arena War vehicles do not stand a chance against the Ramp Buggy. Despite lacking a heavy and powerful frame, this vehicle will leave anything on four wheels in its dust. Although somewhat impractical and comical in function, the Ramp Buggy is undeniably one of the best vehicles to own in GTA Online.

    Patriot Mil-Spec

  • Vehicle Class: Off-Road
  • Standard Price: $1,710,000
  • Trade Price: $1,282,500 (Complete 15 Agency Security Contracts)
  • Requirements: None
  • Locations: Southern S.A. Super Autos
  • The Patriot Mil-Spec is a phenomenal vehicle, as it offers much more than other off-roading machines of GTA Online. This vehicle is capable of climbing hills, mountains, and other unruly surfaces with remarkable ease. The Patriot Mil-Spec’s off-roading prowess is perfect for making impractical getaways and taking unconventional routes. The outstanding potential of this machine does not end there, however.

The Patriot Mil-Spec has access to weapons, armor, and even Imani Tech upgrades introduced in the Contract update. Thus, allowing players to bolster the antagonistic abilities of this vehicle, which is necessary considering the prevalent hostility of GTA Online players. With Imani Tech, players can equip the Patriot Mil-Spec with powerful upgrades such as a Remote Control Unit or a Missile Lock-on Jammer. The overall capabilities of this machine make it one of the best vehicles of its class.

    Tezeract

  • Vehicle Class: Super
  • Standard Price: $2,825,000
  • Trade Price: None
  • Requirements: None
  • Locations: Legendary Motorsport
  • The Tezeract is among the fastest Supers in GTA Online, but it boasts other equally impressive qualities. This vehicle can near-effortlessly overtake others in terms of speed. While its initial acceleration is sluggish, the sleek and lightweight design of the Tezeract allows it to surpass other vehicles with remarkable ease. In addition, the capabilities of this vehicle improve drastically with the right upgrades.

When fully upgraded, the Tezeract becomes all the more effective for racing and proves to be surprisingly durable. It handles well and becomes less susceptible to overturning despite its seemingly flimsy frame. In truth, the Tezeract can effectively barrel through even the heftiest vehicles without impeding its speed. This ability is especially beneficial in races where the tracks offer little leeway and racers are aggressive.

    Buffalo STX

  • Vehicle Class: Muscle
  • Standard Price: $2,150,000
  • Trade Price: $1,612,500 (Purchase an Agency)
  • Requirements: None
  • Locations: Southern S.A. Super Autos
  • The Buffalo STX is a cut above the typical muscle car as it possesses a variety of advanced modifications. This vehicle alone is a capable machine, although a relatively simple one by comparison. For fans of muscle-class vehicles, the Buffalo GTX is perfect for cruising the streets of Los Santos or making risky maneuvers during missions. However, with Imani Tech upgrades, this vehicle becomes immensely more effective.

Imani Tech modifications enhance the potential of the Buffalo STX, making it much more formidable, elusive, or downright perplexing. These enhancements allow this vehicle to become exceptionally more viable for missions. When fully upgraded, the Buffalo STX outclasses other muscle cars in terms of speed, handling, and capability. Thus, making it a worthy addition to any player’s collection of vehicles.

    Insurgent Pick-Up Custom

  • Vehicle Class: Off-Road
  • Standard Price: $1,997,500 (To purchase and convert standard Insurgent Pick-Up)
  • Trade Price: $1,552,500 (Complete The Humane Labs Raid Mission)
  • Requirements: Own a Mobile Operations Center or an Avenger
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry (To purchase standard Insurgent Pick-Up)
  • The Insurgent Pick-Up Custom is a lightly armored machine of unprecedented destruction. Although comparatively simple, it is a well-rounded and dependable offensive vehicle. For relatively new players, the Insurgent Pick-Up Custom is perfect for prepping heists, missions requiring substantial protection, or simply cruising around Los Santos – albeit with excessive protection.

The Insurgent Pick-Up Custom is heavily modifiable, offering numerous improvements for players to enjoy. These modifications allow it to remain consistent, providing utility to a player regardless of their level. When fully upgraded, the Insurgent Pick-Up Custom has functional mobility, devastating weaponry, and phenomenal protection. Overall, it is a vehicle that every player should consider buying if they have not already.

    Sea Sparrow

  • Vehicle Class: Helicopter
  • Standard Price: $1,815,000
  • Trade Price: None
  • Requirements: Own a Hangar
  • Locations: Elitas Travel
  • The Sea Sparrow is an improvement from its less adaptable but capable predecessor, the Sparrow. Without any modifications, it surpasses its precursor in nearly every aspect. Therefore, leaving little reason for one to choose the Sparrow over the Sea Sparrow. Moreover, its aquatic maneuverability allows for numerous opportunities unachievable by the typical aircraft.

RELATED: GTA Online Enhanced Makes it Easier Than Ever for Players to Get Started

The Sea Sparrow, when modified, becomes far more capable in terms of movement and offense. Thus, allowing for quick travel with proper defenses in the event violence ensues. The Sea Sparrow is perfect for various missions, especially those heavily revolving around water. So, every player should look into purchasing this aquatic aircraft as it proves to be indispensably useful.

    Stromberg

  • Vehicle Class: Sports Classic
  • Standard Price: $3,185,350
  • Trade Price: $2,395,000 (Complete Submarine Recon mission)
  • Requirements: None
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • Although a seemingly silly and even impractical choice, the Stromberg is one of the best vehicles in GTA Online. Chiefly because of its missiles, which are among the best in the game. The Stromberg’s missiles aggressively track their targets, being able to pursue and hit even the most elusive marks.

Many players use the Stromberg when someone in the lobby gets out of hand with an Oppressor Mk II because it is one of the few vehicles that can hit it. The Stromberg does come with underwater capabilities as well, but that feature is only useful during underwater missions like the Kosatka prep mission.

    Toreador

  • Vehicle Class: Sports Classic
  • Standard Price: $3,660,000
  • Trade Price: None
  • Requirements: None
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Toreador, much like the Stromberg, is designed to be used underwater as well as on land. It is capable of driving through the water in submarine mode or flying across the city streets on its wheels. Part of what makes the Toreador slightly better than the Stromberg is its boosters.

Much like Vigilante or the Rocket Voltic, the Toreador can activate its boosters to get a nice increase in speed to escape any pursuits. This vehicle is also capable of taking six homing rockets before exploding or two RPGs.

    Deluxo

  • Vehicle Class: Sports Classic
  • Standard Price: $4,721,500
  • Trade Price: $3,550,000 (Complete the Signal Intercepts Mission)
  • Requirements: None
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Deluxo is immediately recognizable as the flying DeLorean from Back To The Future. Rockstar added this vehicle back in the Doomsday Heist update, and it has been a fan favorite ever since. While there are many cars in GTA Online that boast phenomenal speed, none possess the Deluxo’s capability for flight.

RELATED: Every Change and Enhancement in GTA Online’s Standalone Release

The Deluxo has great missiles and a tracker to remind people how many they have left. Thanks to its hover ability, this vehicle can also travel anywhere in the game, including over water. This car makes it easy to complete missions without the worry of roads or enemies. Plus, it makes escaping the cops a breeze.

    Vigilante

  • Vehicle Class: Super
  • Standard Price: $3,750,000
  • Trade Price: None
  • Requirements: None
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Vigilante fulfills a player’s fantastical dreams of becoming a superhero, providing them with exceptional mobility and weaponry. While it may seem outrageous at first, the Vigilante proves to be a vehicle well worth the hefty cost. Without modifications, the Vigilante can confront the most capable offensive vehicles with ease, such as the Oppressor Mk II.

The Vigilante requires some practice, however, as its jet-propelled boost can be difficult to control. When mastered, one can utilize the Vigilant to its full potential. Thus, making missions simple tasks when utilizing this incredible vehicle. Overall, the Vigilante is an exceptional vehicle in both appearance and capabilities, making it well worth the price.

    Akula

  • Vehicle Class: Helicopter
  • Standard Price: $3,704,050
  • Trade Price: $2,785,000 (Complete the Server Farm Mission)
  • Requirements: Own a Facility and a Hangar
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Akula is a stealth helicopter that proves to be exceptionally elusive and exceedingly dangerous – should it be revealed. The most beneficial aspect of this vehicle is the stealth mode that prevents tracking. Once in this covert configuration, the Akula is only detectable through sight, allowing it to soar unbothered by typical threats. Moreover, it is on par with many other helicopters, making it a well-rounded vehicle.

The stealth capabilities of the Akula grant players much leeway when conducting missions or exploring Los Santos. While in its covert setting, the Akula is difficult to locate, even more so to attack. Thus, making it an exceptional vehicle for traveling without hindrance. For players looking to traverse effortlessly, the Akula is a near-perfect vehicle well worth the price.

    Cargobob

  • Vehicle Class: Helicopter
  • Standard Price: $1,750,000
  • Trade Price: None
  • Requirements: None
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Cargobob is one of those helicopters that doesn’t seem like it would be high on any list of valuable vehicles, however, it can help players make a ton of money. There are plenty of players who like to do vehicle warehouse work.

RELATED: Grand Theft Auto Online: Best Vans, Ranked

The jobs from this have players go pick up vehicles across the city and deliver them back to the warehouse. Any bumps and hits cause the value of the vehicle to decrease along the way. A great way to avoid this is to pick the vehicles up with the Cargobob and fly them over. Plus this vehicle can be used to troll players by stealing their cars.

    Terrorbyte

  • Vehicle Class: Commercial
  • Standard Price: $1,375,000
  • Trade Price: None
  • Requirements: Own a Nightclub
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Terrorbyte is an exceedingly beneficial vehicle in terms of function rather than performance. It serves as an operations hub for every business imaginable. Meaning that players can use the Terrorbyte to initiate business missions from anywhere in Los Santos. Thus, allowing players to start and complete business jobs with remarkable speed and efficacy, providing a quick means of making money.

In addition, the Terrorbyte possesses many other useful features to aid players. It boasts a Turret Station, Drone Station, and a Weapon Workshop. However, the Terrorbyte’s most beneficial aspect is its Specialized Workshop, a station exclusive to the Oppressor Mk II. So, to purchase the devastating Oppressor Mk II, players must first acquire the Terrorbyte. Regardless, this vehicle proves to be of great aid to any player.

    Mobile Operations Center

  • Vehicle Class: Utility
  • Standard Price: $1,225,000
  • Trade Price: None
  • Requirements: Own a Bunker
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Mobile Operations Center, or MOC for short, is not a vehicle that many players consider. The only qualities that most make note of are those unrelated to driving. Most players appreciate the Mobile Operations Center for its ability to start missions, upgrade weapons, and modify vehicles. However, it is far better than most players realize, offering much more beyond these features.

When a player detaches the cab from the front, they can use it to complete missions. This cab is pretty fast and can also keep a player relatively safe from outside sources. The cab can take upwards of fifteen to twenty rockets before it gets destroyed. That is better than any other vehicle in the game.

    Kosatka

  • Vehicle Class: Boat
  • Standard Price: $2,200,000
  • Trade Price: None
  • Requirements: Meet Miguel Madrazo at The Music Locker
  • Locations: Warstock Cache & Carry
  • The Kosatka is one of the best boats ever introduced to GTA Online. This submarine can be called in and out of the water easily from the interaction menu and has some pretty amazing features. For one, it costs only $2,000 to fast travel across the map.

That is a far cheaper price than the $25,000 it takes to fast travel using the yacht. The Kosatka is also the vehicle needed to start and complete the Cayo Perico heist. This heist can get even solo players a ton of money to use for future vehicles. Oh, and it has remote-controlled rockets. Why not buy it. Right?
