Report: Ravens place Iman Marshall on reserve/COVID-19 list

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Ravens placed cornerback Iman Marshall on the reserve/COVID-19 list today.

Transaction wire moves typically become official around 5-5:30 p.m. each day.

Marshall, a second-year cornerback, was placed on Injured Reserve at the beginning of training camp after he suffered an extensive knee injury. At the time, Harbaugh believed it was an ACL and MCL injury.

When the team announced that there was a positive test, they made the distinction that there were no close contacts of the then-unidentified player. Now, that makes sense as Marshall is recovering from his knee injury.

Marshall was the second player this season to test positive for coronavirus, as cornerback Marlon Humphrey tested positive one day after the loss to the Steelers. At the time, there were seven close contacts of his that had to miss at least one practice that week.

The Ravens will play the Patriots on Sunday Night Football, and Marshall’s positive test won’t affect that.
