Jaylen Brown injury: Celtics G ‘tweaked’ knee slipping on wet floor

Celtics fans had some anxious moments in the third quarter of Game 6 on Thursday. As Jaylen Brown drove to the basket on the fast break, he’s leg buckled underneath him despite not being hit by a Sixers defender.
While no-contact injuries are usually bad news, it turned out the contact game from below. Brown just slipped on a wet portion of the floor at Wells Fargo Arena.
“I slipped on the floor, I guess it was a wet spot,” said Brown, who took issue with the mop crew. “I expected them to clean it up and they didn’t. Tweaked my knee a little bit but a couple days rest, I’ll be alright.”

Brown, who ditched his facemask for the game, finished with 17 points, six rebounds and four assists. He returned to play 7 minutes in the fourth quarter as the Celtics pulled out the victory.
There are two days between Game 6 and 7 as the deciding game won’t be until Sunday. A time hasn’t been announced yet.
The moisture was likely unmopped perspiration. The Flyers’ failure to make the playoffs means there’s no reason to keep ice under the Wells Fargo Arena floor.
