Cardinals wheel and deal, acquire 6th overall pick from Lions

The Arizona Cardinals traded out of the third slot in the NFL draft on Thursday.

They then worked a deal with the Detroit Lions to move from 12, where they were after the deal with Houston, to get the sixth pick.

The Lions had wanted Devon Witherspoon, the Illinois DB, but when he went to Seattle at five, they were ready to move back.

The Cardinals, who need a lot of everything selected Ohio State OL Paris Johnson Jr.
