Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was injured early in the third quarter of his team’s NBA play-in tournament game vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

Minnesota center Rudy Gobert inadvertently hit Gilgeous-Alexander in the face with his elbow while going for a basket. The OKC star fell to the ground and stayed there for several minutes before heading to the locker room.

After a quick trip there, Gilgeous-Alexander returned to the game with 7:43 left in the third quarter, sporting a cut under his right eye.

The winner of this game heads to the NBA playoffs as the Western Conference’s No. 8 seed, facing the top-seeded Denver Nuggets.
