The Chicago Bulls fight for their playoff lives on Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors in the play-in tournament.
Chicago finished as the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-42 record.
On Wednesday’s episode of FanDuel TV’s ‘Run It Back’, NBA Insder Shams Charania spoke on what lies ahead for the Bulls this offseason.
“If you’re Chicago, you clearly have decisions,” Charania said of the Bulls offseason. “DeMar DeRozan’s going into the last year of his deal next year so you’re going to have to make a decision. He’s eligible for a massive extensions this summer, do you want to give him that?”
Prior to the this season’s trade deadline, the Bulls were heavily speculated to be sellers due to their disappointing first-half of the season, yet decided to stand pat with their veteran-led team, including upcoming unrestricted free agency Nikola Vucevic.
“Vucevic, also will be a free agent so Chicago will for sure have decisions to make,” Charania said.
Whether the Bulls make the playoffs or not, this summer will be telling for their future.
