Another NCAA Tournament has come and gone marked by the playing of “One Shining Moment” video after UConn emerged from the bracket of 68 teams as national champions.

The song has aired at the conclusion of March Madness since 1987. It was written by David Barrett, and today, features the voice of Luther Vandross.

The 2023 montage featured clips of Rodney Terry and Dylan Disu on their journey to the Elite Eight before watching their run come to an end against Miami. This year’s tournament was the deepest run by the Longhorns since 2008 when they also reached the Elite Eight. Texas has not played in a Final Four since 2003.
