WWE WrestleMania 39 Winners And Grades Austin Theory def. John Cena
John Cena’s entrance incorporated Make-A-Wish kids, and while it may not have been his best entrance, it was certainly his most wholesome.
The “Cena sucks” chants were probably 20% of SoFi Stadium.
There was a glitch with the big screen when Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment, and the action was not aired on the big screen for the remainder of the match.
Austin Theory vs. John Cena Grade: B+ Street Profits Win Tag Team Fatal 4-Way
Titus O’Neil was featured on commentary for this match, and you loved to see it. I was here live, so I couldn’t tell you whether or not there was a “wash rag” reference.
Chad Gable hit his patented rolling German Suplex and it elicited “holy s—t” chants.
Ivar missed a moonsault, followed by Braun Strowman hitting a flying splash, and it led to the biggest pop of the night to this point.
There was an unbelievable Tower of Doom spot that received well-deserved “this is awesome” chants.
Tag Team Fatal 4-Way Grade: A Seth Rollins def. Logan Paul
Seth Rollins and Logan Paul both received grand entrances, with Rollins incorporating a music conductor while Paul descended from the rafters like Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 12.
There was another malfunction with the giant screen at SoFi Stadium, leading to chants of “Fix The Screen.”
There was a huge pop when the screen came back on, which actually elevated the energy of this match, as if there wasn’t enough already.
The Prime mascot continued to hang out ringside, which suggested it was probably going to get involved.
Logan Paul connected with a Knockout punch on Rollins, and fans really bit for the nearfall.
Though many speculated it would be Jake Paul, the Prime mascot turned out to be KSI.
Fans chanted “this is awesome” as Logan Paul delivered in another big-time match, this time keeping up with all-world top star Seth Rollins.
Seth Rollins vs. Logan Paul Grade: A Trish Stratus, Lita and Becky Lynch def. Damage CTRL
Bayley received huge heat for mocking the Hardy Boyz while trolling Lita.
Trish Stratus hit a great Stratusphere to the outside on the field.
This was a pretty good match that made use of dives to the outside and party spots.
Damage CTRL vs. Lita, Becky and Trish Grade: B- Rey Mysterio def. Dominik Mysterio
Everybody and their muscle car fantasy booked Dominik Mysterio coming out in a low rider, and while he did come out in a vehicle, it was a cop car—which was even more creative. The only person who came out in a low rider was Rey Mysterio, and the person driving was Snoop Dogg.
Dominik Mysterio repeatedly antagonized his family until Angie Mysterio slapped him to an enormous pop.
Rey Mysterio kicked out of a frog splash from Dominik and it was such a great reaction.
Bad Bunny stopped Dominik from using the chain, leading to the finish where Rey Mysterio won with a Frog Splash.
Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio Grade: A+ Rhea Ripley def. Charlotte Flair
Rhea vs. Charlotte going on in this spot meant Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. The Usos would be the first tag team main event at a WrestleMania since WrestleMania 1.
There were dueling “let’s go Rhea/let’s go Charlotte” chants as this match progressed.
Fans popped huge for Charlotte Flair kicking out of the Riptide.
Rhea Ripley was on the babyface side of the “boo/yeah!” chants.
Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley Grade: A Pat McAfee def. The Miz
The Miz announced an attendance of 80,497 and incels everywhere tweeted about the number being fake.
Once again, Pat McAfee made a surprise appearance, and once again, Michael Cole seemed legitimately caught off guard by it.
George Kittle got involved and delivered a great clothesline to The Miz. Aaron Donald would have been a superior choice.
Pat McAfee vs. The Miz Grade: C Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn def. The Usos
Lil Uzi Vert played The Usos out and I’m sure half of the Internet Wrestling Community called the police thinking he broke into WrestleMania 39.
The Usos delivered a double Rock Bottom to Kevin Owens through the table, which I’m sure is just a coincidence.
There was a huge reaction for Sami Zayn kicking out of the 1D, which might be a first. There was a more deflating pop for when Jey Uso kicked out of the Stunner.
There was a great spot when both teams struggled to their feet to face off after a hard-fought war, and fans fans lost their minds. Now, think about Kevin Owens kicking out of a double-Uso splash and imagine how loud that reaction was.
This match ended with two Helluva Kicks from Sami Zayn to Jey Uso. Fans were super hot to see Sami tag in, and it made for the perfect finish to a perfect WrestleMania.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. The Usos Grade: A+
