Charles Bronson is best known for being the UK’s most famous prisoner – but few realise is his hatred for Colman’s Mustard which he’s boycotted behind bars.

The infamous lag insists it is ‘French only’ for him, and steers clear of the English staple because it shares the same name as his wife’s ex-partner.

In a prison drawing, a ranting Bronson says: “French Mustard from here on… OK! Don’t you dare give me Coleman’s (sic) Mustard… I now only use French!”

Days after he created the sketch, on April 11, he created another bizarre artwork which again blasted Michael Coleman – who was seeing Bronson’s then-fiancee Paula Williamson until she left him for the notorious inmate.

What do you think about Colman’s Mustard? Let us know in the comments…

The drawing depicts Bronson vomiting out Colman’s Mustard and shouting at a mouse that brought a bottle of the sauce into his cell in Wakefield Prison, Yorks.

It says: “You little vermin.. don’t ever bring – that mustard in my cage again…

“You know I hate Coleman’s (sic).”

The drawing shows the mouse running away saying ‘he he he’. It is captioned ‘A day in my life of life’, dated April 11 and signed Charles El Salvador, as Bronson now calls himself.

The outburst is the latest drama in a war of words between Bronson and Mr Coleman, who Paula split up with the day before she met the notorious crook last year.

The pair later got engaged when Bronson, who has served more than 40 years in prison, proposed to Paula, a soap actress, on St Valentine’s Day.

Last month, it emerged that Bronson, 64, had sent Mr Coleman veiled threats in two letters from Wakefield Prison shortly after he started seeing Paula.

In one he said he knew people who lived “round the corner” from Mr Coleman while another threatened that he’d be out “sooner than you think”.

Mr Coleman, of Sutton, London, responded but the notorious hardman has since banned him from sending him any post.

The latest drawing is a response to news of the threatening letters emerging in the press, a source close to Mr Coleman revealed.

A source said: “He thinks it’s ridiculous, but he isn’t bothered and just thinks Bronson’s a fool.

“He’s still watching over his shoulder and keeping an eye out in case there are more threats but apart from that he’s going on with his life as normal.

“Michael doesn’t scare easily and the latest letters made him laugh more than anything.”
