Marner, Matthews have reunion with Marleaus

Mitchell Marner and Auston Matthews had an impromptu family reunion on Thursday.

The two Toronto Maple Leafs forwards met up with former teammate Patrick Marleau, the NHL career leader in games played, after a 6-2 win against the Florida Panthers at FLA Live Arena.

You may remember that the Marleau family – Patrick’s wife Christina and their four sons Landon, Brody, Jagger and Caleb – added Marner and Matthews to their list of “sons” during Patrick’s first season in Toronto.

On Thursday, Marner shared some of the “family” photos on social media. The Marleau boys are all significantly taller than they were in 2017.

Matthews and Marner also look significantly different than they did during their second seasons when they were invited in by the Marleau family.

What can you say, they just grow up so fast.
