Hurricanes star Isaiah Wong keeps adding accolades to his resume.

The Miami guard was named an AP All-American honorable mention on Tuesday. He is the first UM player to earn a spot on the AP’s All-American team since Shane Larkin was voted to the second team in 2013.

Wong, who was named the ACC Player of the Year on March 6, leads Miami in points (16.2), assists (3.4) and steals (1.4) per game. He also is averaging 4.3 rebounds this season.

Wong also has been nominated for the John R. Wooden Award and the Lute Olson Award, which are given to the national player of the year. He is also a nominee for the Jerry West Award, which goes to the nation’s best shooting guard.

In his four-year college career, Wong has notched 14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and one steal per game.

Wong, in his fourth year with the Hurricanes, helped lead Miami to a share of the ACC regular-season title and its second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Hurricanes (25-7) earned a No. 5 seed in the tournament and will face 12th-seeded Drake (27-7) at 7:25 p.m. Friday in Albany, New York.
