Both Nicki Minaj and Future, two of the most successful rappers in the music industry, reached 100 charting hits on the Hot 100 not too long ago, and since then, they’ve continued rising the ranks on the list of the musicians who have placed the most individual cuts onto the most important singles roster in the U.S. They recently tied one another, but not long after they reached the same number, Future has pulled ahead by scoring one additional win on the tally.

Future is featured on late rapper Pop Smoke’s debut album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, which has turned out to be a massive success on the charts this week. Album cut “Snitching” features both Future and Quavo, and it opens at No. 54 on the newly-refreshed Hot 100, giving all three artists another placement on the chart.

“Snitching” is Hot 100 hit No. 111 for Future, and that sum now stands as the fourth-greatest among all acts in U.S. history. Before this week, the rapper was tied with Minaj, as both had managed 110 placements on the ranking, but now one has beaten the other, at least for the time being.

Drake continues to lead the charge when it comes to the artists with the most Hot 100 hits, as he has sent an incredible 222 tracks to the list, and he isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Behind him comes the cast of the TV show Glee, who managed 207 appearances between Nos. 1 and 100 while they were together. Lil Wayne is in a fairly distant third place with 169 smashes to his credit.

It’s entirely possible that in the coming weeks, Minaj will share a single of her own or be featured on a successful cut and tie Future once more, or, conversely, he may continue to pull ahead with more charting songs, as he isn’t known to wait very long in between releases.

“Snitching” is one of 19 Pop Smoke songs currently present on the Hot 100. The rapper, who was shot and killed earlier this year, owns the Billboard 200 with his debut album, and every song featured on the set finds its way to the tally, increasing his career total number of placements considerably.
