Nashville Predators’ sit Tanner Jeannot for ‘trade-related reasons’

The Nashville Predators made big news Sunday when they announced David Poile, the only general manager in team history, was retiring and former coach Barry Trotz would take his place.

The two were hard at work, too, in their effort to be sellers leading up to the March 3 NHL trade deadline.

Forward Tanner Jeannot missed Sunday’s game against the Arizona Coyotes for “trade-related reasons,” according to the team. This a day after forward Nino Niederreiter was traded to the Winnipeg Jets.
