Genshin Impact Announces New Characters Kaveh And Baizhu

Kaveh and Baizhu will be available with the version 3.6 update in April.

The official Twitter account of Genshin Impact has revealed that two new Dendro characters, Baizhu and Kaveh, will be available with the version 3.6 update, which is expected to release on April 12.

The developer team provided a glimpse into the new characters and their backstories, though no details on their abilities have been revealed at this time. Traditionally, HoYoverse reveals information about the brand-new and rerun banners that will be available with the next major update. With version 3.5 nearly upon us, the team provided an early look at Baizhu and Kevah, who will appear in the world of Teyvat in early April.

Baizhu is a five-star Dendro character who takes care of the zombie girl Qiqi. He is the owner of Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue, whose skills make all illnesses better. The official character descriptions hint at their abilities, saying that Baizhu can’t save all his patients. This could be an indication of one of his healing abilities that can be used for only one companion.

He is a well-known healer across the Feiyun Slope region, and his ever-present smile hides the pain he suffers alone. Players can expect Baizhu to unleash both shield and support abilities and wield a Catalyst as his weapon.

Kaveh is a renowned architect in Sumeru, where he lives as Alhaitham’s roommate in the Akademiya. The five-star Dendro character is idolized as a role model by the students of Kshahrewar, and his professional designing skills made a name for Kaveh. He also pays additional attention to the aesthetic and human elements that he is concerned about.

Kaveh will most likely serve as a support character who wields Dendro’s vision alongside Claymore as a primary weapon. Players can expect him to work in sync with other team members, as Kaveh’s own capacity for Dendro damage will reportedly be limited.

Apart from Dehya and Mika being added to the game, version 3.5 includes rerun banners for Shenhe and Ayaka. The Archon Quest, all-new enemies, events, weapons, and TCG improvements will also be available as part of the update, which will release on March 1.
