Best NBA prop bets today for Pelicans vs. Raptors (Brandon Ingram stays hot)

Ingram #Ingram

The New Orleans Pelicans and Toronto Raptors both find themselves fighting for playoff position following the All-Star break, but the Pels are without star Zion Williamson due to a hamstring injury.

That’s allowed Brandon Ingram to take an even bigger role on offense since he returned from a toe injury, and he’s one of my favorite players in the prop market on Thursday night.

Ingram isn’t the only prop I have my eyes on, as there are three plays you should consider for this inter-conference battle:

  • Pascal Siakam UNDER 12.5 Rebounds and Assists
  • Brandon Ingram OVER 24.5 Points
  • Herb Jones OVER 3.5 Rebounds
  • Pascal Siakam UNDER 12.5 Rebounds and Assists

Pascal Siakam is having a terrific season for the Toronto Raptors, and he was named an All-Star for his efforts in the first half of the season. However, Siakam has not consistently hit the over on his rebounds and assists prop as of late, so we’re fading him tonight.

Over his last 10 games, Siakam has cleared 12.5 rebounds and assists just twice, and he grabbed 10 boards in each of those games. In those games, the Raptors star is averaging 5.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, falling short of 10.5 per game.

The Pelicans are great on the glass, ranking sixth in the NBA in rebounding percentage, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see Siakam fall short of this line again tonight.

    Brandon Ingram OVER 24.5 Points

Ingram is starting to find his groove after missing a huge chunk of the season with a toe injury.

The Pelicans star went into the All-Star break scoring 26, 35, 30, 25, 34 and 25 points over his final six games, yet oddsmakers are setting him at just 24.5 points on Thursday night.

The key for Ingram over this stretch has been usage (21.0 shots per game), and he could get a favorable matchup if OG Anunoby (wrist, questionable) is ruled out. I love the OVER for Ingram with Zion out.

    Herb Jones OVER 3.5 Rebounds

This is a bit of a dark horse play since Jones is known for his defense and not his rebounding, but the Pels lockdown wing is averaging 4.2 boards per game over his last 13 contests.

Jones has cleared this line in nine of those 13 games, and he should see big minutes against a wing-heavy Raptors team.

You’re going to have to lay some juice on this prop, but Jones had been set at 4.5 boards for several games prior to the break. I’ll take the discount on Thursday.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
