ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported an injury update on Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

On Thursday night, the Milwaukee Bucks won their 12th game in a row when they defeated the Chicago Bulls 112-100 (on the road at the United Center).

However, the bigger concern was the fact that two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo exited the game with a wrist injury.

During Sunday’s All-Star Game, Antetokounmpo played less than one minute due to the injury.

He had a dunk, and then committed an intentional foul to get himself out of the game.

On Monday, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported an update about Antetokounmpo’s current status (via Get Up).

Windhorst: “Giannis is flying to New York today to get this injury and some imaging that he had done after that fall last week in Chicago checked out. I don’t think there’s a fear that this is going to be an injury that’s gonna threaten his season, but there may be one of these situations that we often see where a player might have to decide whether to play through an injury or to give the injury rest.”

Antetokounmpo is in the middle of another tremendous season with averages of 31.8 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest (while shooting 53.8% from the field).

The Bucks are currently the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 41-17 record in 58 games.

They are just a half-game behind the Boston Celtics for first, and the hottest team in the entire league.

On Thursday night, the Bucks will play their next game when they host Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat at home in Wisconsin.
