Manchester United 3-0 Leicester LIVE! Sancho goal – Premier League match stream, latest score updates today
Sancho #Sancho
It’s back to Premier League business for Man United today as they host Leicester at Old Trafford looking to cement their place inside the top four, with the Foxes keen to push clear of the brewing relegation battle.
Talk of the club’s takeover has dominated the build-up for Erik ten Hag’s team, which has been bolstered by the return of Marcel Sabitzer and Lisandro Martinez with five changes made to their XI. There is also the small matter of the upcoming showdowns against Barcelona in the Europa League and Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.
Today’s game should therefore provide United with a more comfortable outing – on paper, at least. Leicester have smashed eight goals in back-to-back wins with the return of James Maddison vital to their survival hopes. Shaw next to pop up, swivel onto his right foot and roll a gentle shot at Ward.
GGGOOOOAAALLLL!!!! Manchester United 3-0 Leicester 15:21 , Marc Mayo
61 mins: SANCHO!
Free-flowing stuff from Man United as Iheanacho is too soft and the hosts break. Sancho links up with Fernandes and side-foots the third goal home.
Game. Over!
15:21 , Marc Mayo
60 mins: Big cheer as Shaw bulldozes through Castagne and wins the ball, leaving both men on the turf.
Shaw looks a little sore but will play on for now.
15:20 , Marc Mayo
58 mins: This is now officially Rashford’s best goalscoring season of his career with 24 and plenty more to come!
McTominay replaces Fred as Leicester bring Tielemans and Soumare on for Mendy and Dewsbury-Hall.

15:14 , Marc Mayo
52 mins: Maddison fires into the wall with a free-kick before a second stab at it that doesn’t even reach the corner flag.

Man United chance! 15:10 , Marc Mayo

He should be hitting the target there.
15:09 , Marc Mayo
48 mins: Mendy booked for sliding in to protect the ball from Rashford, which he does while catching the forward.
A bit tough on him, really, and Maddison is quick on Stuart Attwell’s case to say as much.
15:06 , Marc Mayo
46 mins: Weghorst back up front with Sancho in behind the striker, moving Rashford out wide to the left. Interesting.
Kick-off! Manchester United 1-0 Leicester 15:05 , Marc Mayo

Graeme Souness telling Sky Sports the Austrian should have been sent off for landing this challenge on Wout Faes.
The single-frame screenshot is a little misleading as he didn’t appear to connect deliberately, but it sure was a clumsy moment from the United midfielder.
Stats check 14:57 , Marc Mayo
No surprise to see Leicester leading 11 shots to eight with fine De Gea saves keeping out their two on target – and Rashford scoring United’s only on-target effort.
Nice and tight in possession, 55-45 to the hosts and both teams level on 82 per cent passing accuracy to underline their intent in moving the ball forward quickly.
Seven fouls and five corners overall, both of which narrowly in Leicester’s favour.

Rashford’s goal the difference at half-time!
14:49 , Marc Mayo
45+2 mins: Maddison picks out a decent long-range effort after another Fred giveaway in his own half.
Just about sums up Leicester’s endeavours, plenty of space and intent to attack the home team goal but nothing to show for it.
14:46 , Marc Mayo
45 mins: The board goes up for two minutes added on.
14:45 , Marc Mayo
43 mins: Groans as Weghorst fails to spot a clear run in behind from Garnacho. Not too much of a surprise that the big Dutchman is not the perfect No10, as it turns out.
14:44 , Marc Mayo
42 mins: All a bit muted around Old Trafford as the locals begin to make motions towards the concourses for a half-time pie.
Leicester come forward through Barnes and Maddison, but Dalot nicks back the ball.
14:43 , Marc Mayo
40 mins: Mendy in the right place at the right time to prevent Sabitzer’s cross reaching Rashford.
A second goal for United could kill the game, but Fred’s long-range shot pings off Rashford and leaves him flat out on the turf!
Rest easy, United fans, he’s okay while Leicester’s Faes is down after Sabitzer landed some studs on his knee.
Man United chance! 14:38 , Marc Mayo
36 mins: HOW HAS HE MISSED?
Fernandes crosses for Dalot as he continues his run into the box and the goal is gaping for the defender… and he pokes it wide!

14:34 , Marc Mayo
32 mins: Fernandes clips in a free-kick which Iheanacho diverts straight to Garnacho… and he slashes a volley well over the bar on his weaker foot.
A tough period but things certainly looking up for Man United now.

30 mins: Man United now take their time to sit on the ball and knock it around with Leicester not particularly fussed for pressing them.
Only a loose Fernandes pass allows Dewsbury-Hall to clear.
Leicester break and Dewsbury-Hall slots an effort wide of the far post!
14:28 , Marc Mayo
27 mins: Five games in a row now for Rashford! What a run he is on but that was poor defending from the Leicester centre-backs.
The Foxes back on the front foot as they look to grab a leveller.
GGGOOOOAAAALLLL!!! Manchester United 1-0 Leicester 14:25 , Marc Mayo
24 mins: RASHFORD!
Talk about against the run of play…
Poor defending from Faes and Souttar as they do different things, allowing Fernandes to dink Rashford in behind and he has the composure to bury his shot past Ward!
14:23 , Marc Mayo
21 mins: Man United resorting to Fernandes absolutely hoofing the ball upfield to relieve some pressure. Leicester have to make the most of this spell…
Leicester chance! 14:22 , Marc Mayo
20 mins: WHAT A SAVE!
Castagne again bombs down the wing and dinks a great cross for Iheanacho, who stoops to power a header and finds De Gea’s powerful palm scooping away his shot on the line!
14:20 , Marc Mayo
18 mins: Castagne is causing real problems for Leicester down United’s left as Garnacho is nowhere near tracking his runs.
That has then been dragging Martinez out of position with Iheanacho dropping, although the striker was not in position to turn home Tete’s latest cross – which flashed across goal and into touch.
14:16 , Marc Mayo
15 mins: Fred drops back smartly to clear Tete’s dangerous run and cross, Maddison left completely free at the far post.
14:14 , Marc Mayo
12 mins: Up the other end, Souttar stabs a foot out to block Shaw’s shot-cross from the edge of the box.
A promising start to this game for the neutral, at least…
Leicester chance! 14:12 , Marc Mayo
10 mins: More threat from the Foxes!
Faes nods a long ball back into United’s half and Iheanacho struggles to collect Maddison’s pass, shooting into Lindelof and the ball rolls just wide.
14:10 , Marc Mayo
9 mins: Free header from the corner! Souttar nods over…
Leicester chance! 14:10 , Marc Mayo
8 mins: Fred gives it away and Barnes plays a fine give-and-go with Iheanacho.
The winger bombs into the box and De Gea turns his one-on-one effort wide! Great stop.
14:08 , Marc Mayo
7 mins: Good first break from Leicester with Castagne played into space on the right.
United hook clear the cross and get bodies in the way as Iheanacho aims a shot towards the far post.
14:06 , Marc Mayo
4 mins: The hosts unhappy as Rashford wins an advantage which Fred’s slip fails to make the most of, with the free-kick not pulled back.
Dalot then gets a favourable call from a 50/50 and Rashford wins a corner with the first shot of the game.

“Harry [Maguire] is injured, you have to keep everyone fresh and also look at the opponent tactically. What they can do and where you can beat them.
“[Casemiro] is not available so we don’t pay attention to that, we know we can play a good game like against Leeds without him. So we have to do that.
“[Marcel] Sabitzer’s second game was better than his first game, especially out of possession, and he has to get used to it. The Premier League is tougher, but we really improved in the second game.”

With a bidders from the world over now making their desire to buy Manchester United official, Brendan Rodgers has warned fans over the impact of the Red Devils’ takeover.
“When you go back, it used to be the richest guy in the city who owned his local club and it was a great honour for him,” he told reporters.
“Those times have changed. It’s becoming increasingly difficult. For the likes of ourselves, money can distort reality, and I think it’s important the governance of the game is looked after.
“With that, I mean keeping the playing field as equal as we possibly can – otherwise it will become a top four or then a top six or seven.”

Playing off Marcus Rashford proved reasonably successful for Man United and Erik ten Hag has admitted he had not planned on such a tactical tune-up when he signed Weghorst.

“He did before. In a certain role, I think he can act very well there and we have seen that.
“I think it was quite successful, not only for him but I think he enjoyed it there. He had an impact on the game, but for the team it was really important his role
