The Canadiens will once again be without Kirby Dach when they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night at Scotiabank Arena.

Dach is out with a non-COVID related sickness. Arber Xhekaj was placed on injured reserve and defenceman Corey Schueneman was called up from Laval. He’ll make his season debut tonight, while Chris Wideman will be a healthy scratch.

The Leafs completed a major trade last night, acquiring forwards Ryan O’Reilly and Noel Acciari in a three-way deal with the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild.
