Bet on Devin Booker and Kawhi Leonard to score at will and send the NBA into the All-Star Break with a bang

Kawhi #Kawhi

Welcome to Bet For The Win’s Nightly NBA Player Props. Throughout the 2022-23 season, we look at some of the night’s biggest games and come up with bets to make as we predict how players might perform.

It’s simple — if we like where the player’s line is set, we take the over, otherwise, we take the under.

It is the last day to bet on the NBA…for now. Thursday’s three-game slate will be the final day of games until action resumes next Thursday following the week-long All-Star Break. The Bucks will take on the Bulls, the Wizards will face the Timberwolves in the Twin Cities and the Suns will Host the Clippers.

Here are some props you should consider ahead of tonight’s action:

In case you haven’t been paying attention, Kawhi Leonard is back. There was the blunder in Milwaukee on national TV against the Bucks, but even counting that game, Leonard has averaged 28.3 points over the last 15 games on 54.1/ 49.4/ 92.0 shooting splits. Within those 15 games, there are eight 30-point outings, as well. Getting to 25 points on Thursday seems very likely.

Slowly but surely, Devin Booker is rounding into form after an injury derailed his fast start to the season. In his three games back, he’s gone from 19 points to 21 to 32 (in that order). Surpassing 24 points on Thursday against the Clippers should be considered a safe bet.

I was wrong on Tuesday when I bet Kristaps would make two or more threes against the Blazers. But I’m doubling down. Thursday night is the night he makes two or more. The task should be easier against a center like Rud Gbert who doesn’t like to hang out around the perimeter.

Lock it in.

Just like Tuesday night, DeMar DeRozan will miss the Bulls game due to injury. And just like Tuesday night, Zach LaVine will do his best to supply the additional offense that Chicago Lacks without DeRozan. LaVine will take plenty of shots and run the show similar to how he did before DeRozan’s arrival. He’ll score a bunch of points and make more than 2.5 threes.
