Eagles’ Jalen Hurts makes up for skipping Super Bowl handshake with Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes #Mahomes

Yes, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts walked off the field following Super Bowl LVII without shaking hands with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

No, it’s not a big deal. That’s because the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane reports Hurts later caught up with the Super Bowl MVP following the Chiefs’ 38-35 win and shared the following message:

Patrick Mahomes to Jalen Hurts: “Hell of a game.”

For The Win had reported the quarterbacks didn’t shake hands following Sunday’s game at State Farm Stadium.

When Jalen Hurts’ desperation pass fell incomplete to seal the Chiefs’ 38-35 win at Super Bowl 57 in Arizona, the Eagles quarterback was among several Philadelphia players who made their way towards the sidelines. He eventually jogged off the field and towards the tunnel by himself. … If a handshake did happened, it took place behind closed doors.

Why all the hoopla surrounding Hurts, who turned in an MVP-worthy Super Bowl debut (304 passing yards and one touchdown to go with 70 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground)?

Remember, when the Eagles beat the New England Patriots, 41-33, in Super Bowl LII, much was made about Tom Brady skipping a postgame handshake with MVP Nick Foles.
